Forklift Operator 1st

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Forklift Operator in Fairland, IN to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving goods with a forklift / tow motor in and out of our distribution center. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate order fulfillment, loading/unloading trucks, using a hand scanner to scan inventory in and out of the warehouse. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.

Forklift Operator Pay & Shift

• $20/hour based on experience
• 7:00am-7:00pm 3 days on 3 days off 2 days on 2 days off. Every other weekend you get off.

Forklift Operator Duties

• Receive incoming shipments, using a forklift/clamp truck to move product onto racks.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, labeling packages, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
• Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to store, stage and load product into shipping containers.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and update records in the AS400 system.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.

Forklift Operator Skills

• Having at least 2 years of forklift or clamp truck operating experience.
• Ability to effectively use RF scanners for tracking shipments and inventory levels.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Capable of lifting heavy items as required during loading/unloading tasks.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
