Heavy-Duty Truck Brake & Suspension Machinist

Full-Time

Monday - Friday

$20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Duty Truck Brake & Suspension Machinist to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy-duty truck brake components, machining equipment, hydraulic systems, and suspension parts in a fast-paced shop environment. Some on-the-job training is available.

Responsibilities

  • Perform brake shoe relining
  • Turn and machine brake drums and rotors
  • Operate brake lathes, presses, and shop equipment
  • Build and assemble hydraulic hoses
  • Grind and finish flywheels
  • Clean and inspect DPF filters
  • Inspect parts for wear and damage
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow shop safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in brake and suspension machine shop work preferred
  • Machining or mechanical shop experience required
  • Ability to operate shop machinery and hand tools safely
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Dependable with a good work ethic
  • Ability to lift heavy components and work in a physical shop environment
