Hematology locum tenens opportunity in Central Wisconsin seeking a full-time physician beginning in August. This established cancer program offers a balanced mix of outpatient hematology, inpatient consults, and shared call coverage alongside a robust multidisciplinary support team.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Full-time availability required
• Shared Hospital Call: 1:4
  • Friday 7:30 AM - Friday 7:30 AM
• Daily inpatient rounding:
  • 1-2 hours each day Monday-Sunday
  • Additional weekday rounding from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM
• Clinic call shared among providers for add-on consults and chemotherapy supervision needs

Practice Details

• Hematology-focused practice (No Medical Oncology)
• Approximately 15 patients per day
• Bone marrow biopsies required
• Coverage for acute leukemia patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Shared responsibility for chemotherapy patient supervision
• Cerner EMR
• Collaborative team consisting of:
  • 3 Physicians
  • 3 Advanced Practice Providers
  • RN and MA support
  • Nurse Navigators
  • Infusion Nursing Team
• Onsite Radiation Oncology services available

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology
• Hematology Fellowship Required
• Bone Marrow Biopsy experience required
• AHA Certification Required
• Comfortable managing acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Hospital privileges required
