A hospital is seeking a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage to support inpatient and surgical services. Compensation: 24-hour call: /24 hours, Callback: up to $350-450/hr Position Details Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Practice Setting: Inpatient / OR Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Dates of Coverage: May 1, 2026 September 1, 2026 Reason for Coverage: Building team / loss of coverage Schedule & Volume 100% inpatient Average 4 10 patients per day Average 4 10 call patients per day Practice Environment 5 physicians in the group Other orthopedic physicians will be present during assignment On-site: Lab X-ray EMR - Epic Credentialing - Estimated timeframe: days Procedures Must be able to perform a wide range of orthopedic procedures including: Joint conditions (arthritis, bursitis, dislocations, ligament tears, inflammation) Ankle & foot (fractures, heel pain, deformities) Shoulder (rotator cuff, labrum/SLAP tears, fractures, dislocations, impingement) Bone (fractures, infections, deformities) Hand & wrist (fractures, tendon/ligament injuries, carpal tunnel, arthritis) Elbow (fractures, arthritis, ligament injuries, dislocations) Knee (meniscus/cartilage injuries, ligament tears, patella dislocations, fractures, tendinitis) Requirements: Board Certified required Active New York license required BLS & ACLS required Self-Query NPDB (within same month) required About WhiteCoat Locums: - Physician owned and led agency - Highest-Pay rates on the market - $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail - 100% transparency
