What You ll Do

• Provide advanced clinical care as an APP for General Surgery services during the assignment window
• Support surgical coverage needs with urgent coverage based on facility scheduling requirements
• Manage patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning in collaboration with the surgical team
• Perform duties consistent with APP scope of practice for inpatient/outpatient surgical workflows (as privileged/credentialed)
• Contribute to safe, efficient continuity of care across shift assignments
• Maintain compliance with facility privileging and documentation requirements (including CV updates and affiliations)
• Ensure appropriate use of required certifications and follow facility clinical standards

What You Need
Required

• Active California license
• CA DEA
• Board Certified (or for the posted option, Board Eligible within 3 5 years of residency)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• PA: General surgery experience (PA-C required for consideration; NPs require ACNP credential and national certification see Preferred/Role Notes below)

Preferred

• If Nurse Practitioner (NP): ACNP credential and nationally certified
• Clean provider file for review (the facility requires clean files for consideration)

About the Assignment
We re seeking 1 2 APPs for locum General Surgery coverage in Santa Rosa, CA from 06/01/2026 through 08/31/2026. Coverage requires availability of at least two weeks on / two weeks off (or more) and includes 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM 6:00 PM) with guaranteed 8 hours per day and OT after 8 hours/day.

Travel notes (deviations apply):

• Not reimbursed: mileage from provider home to departing airport and airport-to-home return; ride share/taxi from home to airport and airport to home return.
• Will be reimbursed: airport parking (if driving to airport); pre-approved rental car insurance; ride share/taxi from destination airport to lodging and to hospital/clinic (and return trips).

Privileging/Credentialing reminders:

• Surgical specialties may require case logs and credentialing expectations (including handling specialty activity and gaps).
