Temp - PT - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) Lewistown, MO

What You ll Do:
  • Effectively evaluate and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs, developing personalized care plans aligned with all regulatory and clinical standards
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions
  • Administer procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and support devices
  • Monitor patient progress, modify treatments accordingly, and evaluate outcomes to ensure optimal recovery
  • Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and progress
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status and treatment adjustments
  • Document all clinical activities accurately in electronic medical records, including treatment minutes and discharge summaries
  • Participate in clinical meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions to stay current with best practices
  • Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and students as needed

Required Skills:
  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficient in electronic documentation and regulatory compliance standards

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
  • Knowledge of wound care and assistive device use
  • Certification in wound care or specialized modalities

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Prior experience working in LTC or similar environments is preferred but not mandatory

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain any necessary DME or supplies in compliance with regulations
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training, meetings, and conferences
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work day shifts in Lewistown, MO
