Day by day
Day 1
Islamabad to Naran
Drive through the Kaghan valley with stops at Balakot and Kiwai.
Day 2
Naran to Chilas
Babusar Top pass and the descent to the Indus.
Day 3
Chilas to Hunza
Nanga Parbat viewpoint, Rakaposhi view and arrival in Karimabad.
Day 4
Hunza sightseeing
Baltit and Altit forts, Duiker sunrise point and Attabad Lake.
Day 5
Khunjerab Pass
Drive to the Pakistan-China border and Passu Cones on the way back.
Day 6
Hunza to Skardu
Long scenic drive along the Indus gorge.
Day 7
Skardu lakes
Shangrila, Upper Kachura, Katpana cold desert.
Day 8
Skardu to Chilas
Return leg with photo stops at the Indus confluence.
Day 9
Back to Islamabad
Final drive south through Besham.
